About:
The Stop Coalition is a broad and diverse group of leading businesses, trade associations, advocacy organizations, and expert economic, environmental, and energy voices from across Illinois opposed to the Taylorville Energy Center.
Our mission is to shed light on the disastrous unintended consequences to Illinois consumers, job creators, the environment, and the competitive energy market should this project be approved. The Illinois House of Representatives will soon decide the fate of this project that would cost Illinois consumers $400 million a year in increased energy costs at a time we can least afford it. Tell your Illinois legislators to OPPOSE the Taylorville Energy Center.
